playgroup love

Oh how Noah & I both love Friday playgroup!! After a few weeks off for the holidays, I realized even more how much we both NEED it! It has most definitely changed in the two years since we started getting together, back when our kiddos were just babies and playgroup was more for the moms than the kids :) Now it is for the moms AND kids, and it is just a wee bit crazier :) So many of us have more than one kid now, and those sweet babies from 2 years ago are full-blown toddlers--so it's louder, we chase them more, and there are a few more fights to break up. But that's ok! We really do love every minute. The kids get to play and get energy out, and we moms get to talk (in between chasing our kiddos!)

It really is funny when you stop and think about the conversations that we have. First of all, I feel like we all talk 90 miles a minute cause it's like we're trying to get everything out while we can. And of course, the majority of our conversations revolve around our kids in some way--today's topics included getting babies to sleep through the night, birthday party ideas, our favorite kid's clothing brands, making baby food, iPhone camera apps (for getting the best pics of our kids of course!), potty training, diaper brands....and so much more. Ha! Don't worry, every once in awhile we do all go to dinner minus the kids and talk about (mostly) grown-up things.

I really do love all these mommas, and Noah sure does love his friends. All of his little BFF's are his playgroup friends--he talks non-stop about Annette, Dalton & Avery, Ella, Ada, Eli, Grace & Ruthie. Love them all!

Today we ventured out to a new place, the Museum of Discovery. It was wonderful! I never knew they had a toddler room there but it was just perfect. There is a door that they can't open--which is key with this crew--and SO many little "stations" to keep them occupied. We moms were even able to sit down while they played, for the most part. Loved it!
